InZOI’s Ambitious Life Sim Demo Now Available for a Limited Time
InZOI, the latest challenger to The Sims, is all about giving you total control. From city decor and weather to storylines, driveable cars, and an extensive suite of editing tools, nearly every aspect of the game is customizable. Whether you want to micromanage your world or simply live in it, inZOI offers an incredibly detailed simulation. And while we wait for the full release, there’s good news: the free inZOI Character Creator tool is available now, but you’ll need to act fast.
Though the full launch is set for later this year, the Character Studio demo offers a great preview of what’s to come. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the demo lets you create your own Zoi, with hundreds of customization options to explore. If, like me, your favorite part of The Sims is building characters and then abandoning the game, this is definitely for you.
In the Character Studio, you can choose from over 250 customization options, including age, body type, outfits, and accessories for your Zoi. There’s an extensive Color Picker with almost infinite color choices, and you can even adjust your Zoi’s facial expressions using a smartphone facial recognition feature.
Earlier this year, we got a sneak peek at the inZOI roadmap, which promised tons of features beyond character creation. From cars and group activities to city-editing tools and a karma system, inZOI will give players unprecedented control over both their characters and the world around them, something The Sims doesn’t quite match.
With Life by You canceled earlier this year, inZOI could very well be the next big contender in the life simulation genre. It’s clear that Krafton is focused on delivering the complete control and customization fans have been longing for.
You can download inZOI: Character Studio for free on Steam, but hurry, it’s only available until Sunday, August 25 at 9pm PT (Monday, August 26 at 12am ET / 5am BST / 3pm AEDT).
And if you’re craving more life sims, there are plenty of games like The Sims to explore after the demo, along with some exciting upcoming PC titles to look forward to.
I hope it doesn’t become multi-player yet, but I hope early on that we can share our worlds with eachother somehow, like download them and play on our own through Canvas.
